Woman charged with identity theft

POTSDAM — Village police charged Jenna L. LaMar, 28, of Potsdam with first-degree identity theft and theft of services at 12:57 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Ms. LaMar assumed another person’s identity to receive treatment at a medical care center Aug. 26 and failed to pay for a taxi ride Aug. 8.

She was arraigned in Village Court and released under the supervision of the probation department.
