Pair Accused Of Forgery, Identity Theft Arrested In Glastonbury …

A man and a woman were arrested after allegedly attempting to make a large purchase with a fraudulent credit card at a Glastonbury jewelry store, police said.

Wilson Bernabel, 28, of New York and Jessie Siddell, 39, of Waterbury were both charged with five counts of first degree forgery, six counts of third degree identity theft, six counts of criminal impersonation and six counts of illegal use of a credit card among other charges.

On Saturday evening, police received a call from the staff at the Lux Bond and Green jewelry store to report the pair attempting to make a large purchase using a fraudulent credit card account and a fraudulent out of state license, police said. Police found Siddell and Bernabel with multiple fraudulent identifications, credit cards and social security numbers, police said.

Bernabel and Siddell were each held in lieu of $500,000 bail. They are both scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Manchester on Sept. 26.
