NY man charged with identity theft – Scranton Times

SCRANTON – A federal grand jury has indicted a New York man on charges related to identify theft.

Omari Lowery, 27, Bronx, N. Y., was charged in U.S. Middle District Court with 10 counts of conspiracy, aggravated identity theft, access device fraud and fraud in connection with identification documents.

The indictment accuses Mr. Lowery of using other people’s identification to acquire goods, services, cash and “other things of value” from August through February.

Mr. Lowery is being held in Lackawanna County Prison. If convicted, he could face up to 78 years in prison and a $2.5 million fine.
