LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have arrested a woman in connection with a widespread identity theft spree, linked to hundreds of potential victims.

Reon Jordan, 34, was arrested by detectives of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Community College Bureau following a nine-month investigation in which authorities combed through thousands of pieces of evidence.

Jordan was found and arrested at her home and was booked at the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station. She is being charged with Grand Theft, Burglary and Unauthorized Use of Personal Identifying Information.

Her bail is set at $1.2 million.

At the time of her arrest, investigators discovered that Joradan was in possession of several hundred identity profiles, consisting of unsuspecting potential victims. As of Tuesday evening, twenty-three victims had been identified.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the identity theft, as further, unidentified victims are believed to exist.
