Identity theft suspects sought

Pueblo police are asking the public’s help in identifying a pair of identity theft suspects.


Someone dropped a Canon National Bank Visa debit card after making a purchase at the Dollar General Store, 1245 Spruce St., on Sept. 14.

The card was found by an unidentified female in a gray Army shirt, police said.

The woman made purchases with the stolen debit card at several businesses along Northern Avenue including Albertsons, Safeway, King Soopers, Walgreens, Loaf ‘N Jug, McDonalds and Family Dollar. She also made a purchase at the Dollar General store on South Prairie Avenue.

She purchased either gift cards or cigarettes at all of those stores, according to police.

At two of the stores, the woman was accompanied by an unidentified Hispanic male.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspects is asked to call Pueblo police at 553-2502 or submit an online tip at csn.pueblo.us.

Arrests

Louis Rodriguez, 38, of the 3100 block of West 27th Street, was arrested Thursday on an identity theft warrant. He was being held at Pueblo County jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Samuel Ernest Torres, 45, of the 1200 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of second-degree burglary. He was being held at jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
