Harrisburg Woman Pleads Guilty to Identity Theft

HARRISBURG — A Harrisburg woman has pleaded guilty to stealing the identity of a senior citizen in her care.

Kimberly Ital, 46, pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of aggravated identity theft and one count of theft. A second theft charge and one count of financial exploitation of the elderly were dismissed.

Ital was arrested in September after prosecutors said she stole tens of thousands of dollars from a 72-year-old woman with dementia.

A sentencing hearing is set for May 13.
